Stunting is a global problem . A lack of proper nutrition for expectant mothers and babies stunts the baby's growth dramatically.

DR. DAVID EHRENKRANTZ BIO

Dr. David Ehrenkrantz has spent his entire career in the health and human services field. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he acquired his Doctorate in Public Health, he has devoted himself to government service, research, teaching, and project development.

Throughout his career, he has been endowed by such organizations as the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health, and the Health Resources and Services Administration, to assume statewide responsibility in epidemiologic and administrative capacities. Such responsibility has involved bringing state government and academia closer together on common goals and objectives. 

Public and private data sources have been used as the basis for service development for diverse populations. These populations have included people with disabilities, the maternal and child population, those with traumatic brain injury, and children at risk for lead toxicity. Research has focused on such areas as Alzheimer’s disease, pediatric HIV, as well as developmental disabilities. Published work has appeared in such peer-reviewed journals as Neuropsychiatric Genetics, the Journal of Rehabilitation, and the Journal of Disability Policy Studies. 

Most recently, Dr. Ehrenkrantz has been involved in the areas of global health and education. He currently serves as the Philadelphia Global Group Leader for RESULTS, an international organization to fight global poverty.

Additionally, he chairs the Advocacy Committee for Partners in Health Engage Philadelphia, part of a similar international organization that has a history of providing access to health services around the globe. Dr. Ehrenkrantz has created and maintained viable, working relationships with federal legislators and their staff to advocate for legislation that will create greater opportunities globally for access to health and education.

He has been included in editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine, Who’s Who in Science, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the Midwest.
