READING, WRITING, AND VOTING RIGHTS RIGHTS A WRONG: HOW TUSKEEGE BROUGH EQUALITY TO BE
By Howard Comen September 25, 2021
Honored to speak at Tuskegee
Where Equality Came to Be
100 years after Booker T
on his anniversary
On the Tarmack where Red Tails Flew
I could feel the fear as the winds blew
and the confidence as it grew and grew
as the white pilots cheered as redtails were viewed
Black Education was against the law
Until they recognized what black votes were for
So Foster approached Lewis in 1881
And traded votes for education for everyone
Tuskegee is the place where wrong became right
So both blacks and whites could read and write
Booker T Washington lead the charge
And George Washington Carver’s peanut grew large
Years later on this hallowed ground
The Red Tails, in War, Respect was found
But today black kids continue to lack
We need Lewis and Foster to once again come back
Booker T Washington George Washington Carver
LEWIS ADAMS THE RED TAILS OF THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN
Proud to be an honorary Airman from Tuskegee
